Your rights as a tenant

  • To quiet enjoyment – you can live in your home without unnecessary interference.
  • To be treated fairly and with respect – regardless of background or circumstances.
  • To clear information – about rent, charges, repairs and services.
  • To request repairs – and have them handled within reasonable timescales.
  • To complain – without fear of being treated unfairly.
  • To privacy – we only enter your home with notice unless there is an emergency.
  • To support accessing benefits – where this relates to your housing.
  • To reasonable adjustments – if you have a disability or additional needs.

Your responsibilities

  • Pay your rent – on time and in line with your agreement.
  • Use the property as your home – and not sublet or misuse it.
  • Report repairs early – to prevent issues getting worse.
  • Allow access – for repairs and safety checks.
  • Keep your home clean and safe – including basic upkeep.
  • Respect neighbours – avoid noise, harassment or anti-social behaviour.
  • Follow house rules – where you live in shared accommodation.
  • Tell us about changes – including benefits, risks or contact details.

Working with support providers

In supported housing, housing and care are separate.

  • Havenmore provides housing, tenancy management and Intensive Housing Management.
  • Care providers deliver personal care and daily living support.
  • We work together so services are joined up, but your tenancy is independent of care provision.

If things go wrong

  • Report issues early so we can resolve them quickly.
  • Use the Complaints process if you are unhappy.
  • We aim to resolve issues fairly, transparently and in a timely way.
